I've been doing a lot of journal reading, and it appears that there's some hellish stuff going on inside dA's own staff. Some users have mentioned that staff members are now former staff members, and not of their own free will, it seems. Some users have been talking as much as they can about it in their journals, and I've extracted some quotes for you.

Okay, folks. Here's the deal.
By now, you've heard that Scott Jarkoff, aka °jark, is now a FORMER Staff Member.
I'm not privy to the whys, wherefores, and whatever-the-hells are going on behind the scenes here. Don't ask me anything about that. I know probably just as much as you do.
DeviantArt, in my opinion, is becoming less about COMMUNITY and more about CORPORATION.
So what we need to do is bring back THE COMMUNITY.

For those who visited me here, yesterday, you will notice that over half of my journal has mysteriously disappeared..all of the references to °jark and his involuntary departure, references to $spyed and $mccann and other content has been removed...all that remains are the links.
This is not acceptable...removing content to cover up prevalent issues..you cannot silence what needs to be said. My future journals will be backed up...with links...of dA.

I have been a user for one year, six months, and 7 days as of this journal post. This, to me, is mind boggling. Someone is seriously screwing around with a community that we've worked really hard to build, and I for one am not going to lie down and take this.

Shortly after I post this, I will be updating my avatar to include ~komosky's Support Jark Icon Addition. This is something else that helps spread awareness of this problem.

I'm adamantly supporting `onestar's Take Back The Community effort. Please, anyone who watches me, or is browsing through my gallery, or has been sent here for whatever reason by another deviant, I urge you to support this.

On a similar note, I am VERY proud of =baka-chan. She has put all of her deviations into storage over this. I just wanted to commend her on her action. Way to go!

But, me being who I am, I'm also starting an effort of my own. Nothing quite as aggressive as Take Back The Community. At least, not yet. I intend to make a massive internet "thank you" card for °jark. The first webpage will be as many Jark pictures as I can get my mouse on, arranged into a "cardfront". Any subsequent pages will be well-wishes, 'thank you's, and comments. I will host it, for lack of a better place, on pages in one of my Geocities accounts.
